More pictures from Salvador

In my continuing quest to draw this process out as long as possible, here are some more pictures.

Acarajé. It's truly great stuff. Deep-fried bean flour stuffed with pepper, shrimp com casca, and some other stuff. It's awesome.

As you can see, I am enjoying mine.

Just a few shots of the beach.

Caroline chillaxin' on the beach in Barra (pronounced like Baja, which now that I think about it, I don't even know what it means.)

I know I shouldn't have taken these pictures.

But she was blocking the sunset! I swear!

The beach after the sun has gone down.

Açai. I remember calling in to the Two Guys Named Chris telling them about Açaí. They pronounced it "a-kai". It's some great stuff and it sucks that there are so many things in Brazil that I love but can't have here. Açaí, acarajé, cararu, etc. Damn.

Caroline enjoying some açaí.

The Farol da Barra, or, Barra Lighthouse.

Again.

Again.

And one last shot of Caroline.

I still have something like 200 pictures left to put up here. I will start posting them in batches of 20 since it seems to take me forever to get pictures up here. Hopefully those of you still coming here are enjoying these last few sets of pictures. Who knows when I'll get back down to Brazil, although I'm hoping it's in May or June of next year. Peace for now.
